Welcome to The Olive Tree Studio in the friendly village of Murches, Portugal! The unique location between Sintra, Cascais and Lisbon makes your stay an unforgettable experience. The famous Guincho beach is only a few minutes away.
Hiking, surfing, cycling, city tours or simply relaxing by the pool: In your cosy little studio-apartment you can enjoy all this in a relaxed and familiar atmosphere. The flat is located in the souterrain of a new and modern building, has natural daylight and an own front door.
The flat is equipped with:
- Fully equipped kitchen (fridge, cooker, sink, microwave)
- Comfortable bed, which can be used as a sofa or as a double bed.
- Bathroom with shower cabin, sink and toilet
- Own entrance door, entrance hall with wardrobe
- Washing machine and a dryer (located in the basement)

Enjoy a coffee in your little private garden under the Olive tree or at the pool.
The bus stop to Sintra and Cascais is right outside the front door. In Cascais you can take the train to Lisbon.

The Olive Tree Studio is located in the typical Portuguese village of Murches between Sintra, Cascais and Lisbon. The famous Guincho beach has a walking distance of 25 minutes (or 10 minutes by bike).
The bus stop directly in front of the house offers you a bus connection to Cascais (10 minutes). In Cascais you can easily take the train to Lisbon (35 minutes). Discover the beautiful old towns of Cascais, Lisbon and Sintra (Unesco World Heritage Site), enjoy life in one of the quaint Portuguese restaurants or bars.

Ursula and Stefan are more than landlords, they are an extremely kind couple who take genuine interest in the welfare and happiness of their tenants and I now count them as friends.
The flat is located in the village of Murches, which is quiet and quaint and provides a serene home base. Cascais is a short bus or Uber ride away.

Murches is very small and consists of a cafe (which is wonderful and inexpensive by US standards), a small grocery (with excellent produce and very friendly proprietors) a local bar and a hardware store. I've been here a month and never felt like I needed more because there are many large shops and supermarkets in Cascais.
There is a large park about a ten minute walk from the flat.
