First of all, the studio is gorgeous and very private with its own entrance. It is separate from the rest of the building and you will feel like it is your own space. I stayed for a month and it has everything you will need for a long stay. Maria was such a friendly, attentive, and gracious host. I was in the process of apartment hunting for a permanent move to Portugal, and she even helped me with that by getting in touch with local real estate agents she knows. Whatever I needed, I knew that I could ask her for it.

I would highly recommend staying here if it's available.

The neighborhood is very convenient. There are tons of shops and restaurants very close by. There's a Continente supermarket about a 20 minute walk away, as well as a Pingo Doce about the same distance.

The Carolina Michaelis metro station is about a five minute walk away, giving easy access to the rest of the city. This stop is on the "main" line, so trains are very frequent. If you want to get to the touristy parts of the city center, it's trivial to get there by metro. If you'd rather walk to take in the sights, it's about 30-40 minutes from the studio depending on where you're going.
