Flat in the centre of Lisbon - Arroios

It was really nice experience.

Cláudia’s flat was great! Such a perfect spot for longer stays in a great area. Super fast wifi and AC made all the difference while working from home in the heatwave.

This flat is nice and cozy. It has everything you need: equipped kitchen, a/c, washing machine, iron, fast and stable wi-fi. The location is perfect. Communication was exceptional. That's a great deal for the money.
However, bedroom access was limited as it is the last floor and bed itseft was a bit small for two people. The bedcover is filled with feathers. Also, it is worth mentioning that smell of dampness (or mold) is noticable in the flat. Something to be aware of.

The apartment is in a great location, although lots of construction work in the daytime currently, so I recommend keeping the windows closed if you're working, or using headphones.
The space is plenty for one person long-term. I think for 2 people it may feel too small, though would be perfect for a short trip. The shower is fantastic, warm and great pressure. Kitchen is well equipped for anyone who enjoys cooking, though the oven is not installed, just the stove.
Apartment is on the top floor, something to be aware of, although I didn't mind this at all.
Claudia is friendly, helpful and responsive. I would stay again in a heartbeat!

The neighbourhood is lively in the day, quiet at night. There are plenty of supermarkets nearby, also lots of cool places for drinks, coffee or brunch. There's also a large south Asian community in the area so lots of great options for curry.

I enjoyed Darshan Nepal (try the onion bhaji) and really good pizza at Jezzus.
Not local but I recommend going to Cacilhas by ferry and getting cheap, fresh seafood there.

Claudia was great. Very responsive and helped us out with issues immediately. It was a wonderful and cosy apartment, and very close to everywhere we needed to go. The Lebanese/Ethiopian place across the road was delicious. We felt very at home.

Claudia was great to work with! The apartment was super cute and had a lovely view of a church. It also has laundry and the best drying rack I’ve ever seen, which was very handy. I should note for anyone with mobility issues there are 4 flights of stairs that are quite narrow. Very authentic and old school (which I like), but it could be challenging for some folks. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend!

Bishu’s shop across the road. Very friendly man. Also the nepalese place is good and cheap.

We are very grateful to Claudia for staying! She was always in touch and helped with all questions, met us at a late time. The apartment is small but very cozy! There is everything you need, the apartment is very clean.

Not very convenient if you have heavy luggage, the apartment is on the top floor, you need to climb a narrow spiral staircase.

I agree with the comment below - Claúdia really is the best landlady ever! She is very communicative, helpful, easy going and will go that extra mile to make your stay is the best. She lent me a hairdryer and spare sheets while I was staying in her flat and was super helpful in making wonderful suggestions for where to buy beautiful Portuguese pottery and where to eat. She also helped me find a place to do a Covid test on a bank holiday weekend. She is really kind and keen to know how to improve the experience of her tenants.

Quite honestly, I could have lived in Claúdia's flat forever. I thoroughly enjoyed the flat and the washing machine was such a plus for me because I was lugging my laundry to the launderette at the previous place I stayed.

The flat is quiet, the internet is incredibly fast and the flat is very nicely decorated and well-equipped. The only downsides, which are not really downsides, is that you have to go up 4 flights of (narrow, spiral) stairs (great exercise) and the slanted roof in the bathroom and bedroom can sometimes mean that you bump your head occasionally if you are tall. But quite honestly, this has been one of the best flats I have rented and I would love to be able to stay here again in the future. Thank you so much Claúdia!

So many good places! Remi across the street was my go-to cafe but there are so many great cafes and restaurants in the area!

I’ve stayed in a lot of rentals and I can say Claudia is by far the best host I’ve ever had. The pictures don’t do the flat justice.
