Porto Santo Beach Houses are in the heart of Porto Santo Islands (Madeira Islands) with sea view, Cal Island and Desertas Islands view. Porto Santo is a Smart Fossil Free Island. The beach houses are located just three minutes from the nearest beach (9 Km of white sand "therapeutic"), three minutes from the airport, the city center, five minutes from the boat port, by car and restaurants (the 1st one is at only two minutes by foot). Just behind the properties, you will find a great hiking where you will have an overview of the city center, the 9km beach of white sand the sea view on both side of the Island, Madeira Island (Ponta de Sao Lourenço), Cal Island and the Desertas Islands.
We have just opened last year and the place is super Zen without noise where we listen chanting birds, we see wild rabbits, the shepherd with his sheep, goats and sheeps.
Porto Santo Beach Houses features 6 separated double or single bedrooms with some of them with private bathroom/shower and WC, sea view, a fully equipped kitchen, a spacious living room, natural light and porches with sea view, Cal Island and Desertas Islands view.
All rooms have new equipments such as mattress, cushions, sheets, blankets, carpet (washable), new disposable slipper, 3 liters welcome water from the Porto Santo mountain source, a kettle, a tea cup with welcome tea bags, welcome fruits, a sweet swiss ricola (candy ;-))), tissues, magazines, pen, post it, relaxing chair, hangers, bath towels, bath mat, a hair dryer, lamp and bedside table, large mirror, a work space, a trash bin, a clothing space and private keys to lock the room. All double rooms have three electrical charge outlets and private bath and shower rooms with wc included.
Two single rooms have a shared shower and wc room together with a shared kitchenette, work space and balcony with seaview, Cal Island and the Desertas Islands view.
In the bathrooms and shower rooms you will find toilet paper, toilet brush, trash bin, towel, a non-slip shower mat, liquid soap, a welcome independant single use soap, a cup, a soap dish, a disposable razor single use (new), female tampon (Tampax), a welcome liquid shower soap, storage space, mirror, Q-tips (new), shower cap (new), cleansing cotton (new) and a shower curtain.
Here we love children so we have a cradle with baby mosquito net, 2 baby high chairs (for meals at the table), baby lounger, baby beach basket with baby mosquito net and a handful, baby beach bag, baby wipes, baby stroller, baby bibs, baby toilet seat, baby bath, duck toy, baby bucket, baby hangers, inflatable beach baby armband, inflatable beach baby buoy, baby cushions, baby blanket, baby bottle holder and beach toys.
Additional services like washing machines, drying rack, iron, steam iron, hat, yoga mat, massage material, sun umbrella, beach towel, beach bag, beach cushion, chair beach, flip flops, pareo, beach dress, raincoat, trekking Walking stick, games like chess games, card games, board game connect 4, backgammon game, hopscotch, Jass, Yatzy, Chicago, Zanzi, Macao, Commando, magnetic game and many more, beach raquets, mini surfs, beach ball, fitness weights and stick, hammock and diving mask. Some of these services may be billed.
One dining area with shared tables (2) and chairs (8), cups, mugs, glasses, dishes, plates, table cutlery, citrus and orange press, italian coffee makers, pots and pans, all cocking equipment, oven, mini grill, four-plate gas stove, fridge, freezer, two sinks, dish drainer, stainer, meal trays, table set, jug, carafes, bowls, tureen, sauceboat, sugar holder, pepper and salt shaker, salad bowl, a bar, a water dispenser, a large space for cooking and independant electric cooking plates. The installation is gas powered and requires special precautions and needs to be insured as to being able to be able to handle the risks that this implicate.
Upon request, it is possible to have a shared breakfast, lunch or dinner with an additional fee.
Smoking, vaping or smoking shisha is not a game here and it is stricly forbidden to smoke inside the properties. A non-smoking area will be tolerated outside.
Perfume, incense, essential oils, candle are also not allowed inside the properties. We are sure that you will appreciate the natural smells of flowers, clean air and we remind here that there is no pollution, no traffic, no stress … Some people living here are allergic and this is the reason why it is not accepted.
It is also a vegetarian place, with no alcool, no drugs, no meat, no fish, no seafood, no eggs. Only kind, zen, serene, fresh, healthy and good vibes here.
But don't worry. We are not so rigid. For those who like to eat dead beings will surely enjoy all the outside barbecues in the Island. There are many here. The first one is at only five minutes walking.
One relaxing lounge area with a lot of natural light and where you will find a couch, two armchairs, water dispenser, glasses and it is the perfect spot to work or relax or for those looking to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
Working spaces can be found everywhere as there are two large porches with a table and chairs, a rooftop on the top of the future spa which was a former garage where will will have soon a meditation, yoga, fitness, massage rooms and a jacuzzi space. The living room and dining room can also be used to work. Electrical outlets and strips, power extension cord, can be made available such as sheets of paper, notebooks, pens, pencils, post-it, totes, briefcases, suitcases, bags, briefcases, trolley cases, envelopes, hole punches, paper clips and many more. Some of these items can be sold directly on site.
4 parkings spaces are available behind the properties and / or in front of the properties. The land is quit big (more than 5'000 m2) and parking spaces are not lacking here.
All rooms has been completely renovated between last year and January 2020 and has been very well maintained. Soon we will have four more rooms and the SPA ready to chill and relax.
The objective in the future will be to have silent retreat, meditation retreat, fasting and hikking, yoga retreats and many more with vegetarian - vegan and ayurvedic cooking and it will have soon a meditation, yoga, fitness, massage rooms Inside the SPA, an outside jacuzzi, a permaculture or aquaculture concept garden (to be defined soon) and many more.
We are convinced that the balance between us and what surrounds us is fundamental and these are values that are highly valued here. It is for this reason that what is defined here is to create an oasis of peace and harmony, where the positive energies transmitted to the desired principles and values would allow you to revitalize and regenerate the body, your well-being and the mind.
The decoration was carefully chosen and the location of each space conscientiously determined. This incessant quest for harmony also translates into respect for the environment that has been acclaimed and implemented here. Sustainable development is part of its identity and is reflected in the choice of materials used as well as in the operational management of these houses. As proof, all the materials chosen for maintenance, renovation and future work are in perfect harmony with organic and ecological products. The cleaning products used here are essentially organic and have less effect on toxicity. Vinegar, baking soda, citrus juice, water, lavender essence, etc.
The objective is prima facie to reduce the ecological footprint of its activity year after year. Environmental concern, social responsibility and economic development. This concept includes internal future projects and partnerships with external entities in which we will involve to animate the different fields of action.
The owner has traveled over more than 30 countries, speak 5 languages (English, Portuguese, Spanish, French and Italian) and is a professionnal singer where concerts are sometimes organised here in agreement with everybody.
This island has no dangerous animals, no snakes, no prison, no beggars, no freaks, no pollution, no stress, no traffic... We usually leave the doors open (yes, yes it still exists) and you will often see people leaving the keys and helmets on their motorbikes while shopping.
Former NATO military base, the island is ultra secure and we are surrounded by National Defense, police department, navy, etc.
At 8.00 am (7th of February 2020) we have 21 degrees celsius). At night it is a little bit lower but still very pleasant.
There is a medical center here, a dentist, two or three hairdressers, barbers also, two shoppings, almost 50 restaurants, 15 at the beach, some secret beaches ;-))) and here is the list of all the activities that can be enjoyed:
